Poetry:
Light as a barrier
Light as a barrier
forcing it’s way onto the grass
silently- solemnly- weightlessly applying pressure on
wavering blades that blew unencumbered in the night breeze
The light didn’t care of the gentle souls its revealed unruly
The light didn’t care if the natural tustle of furs and sandy particles
rustled under its sullen night
The light didn’t care if it acted like cobble walls on an earthen mound
It did not care for whether its battered dinks and crevices would weather
It did not care for whether its reflections in the eye and refractions in the mind
would weather
It did not care
For the weather was unruly
and its weathering seemed unruly
The light didn’t care of the spectacle it became
The light didn’t care how many of its rocks and barbs remain
Mixing themselves unto shadows and streams of milky moonlight
The light didn’t care if the world saw it broken and batter tonight
It did not care whether if it would weather the night
It did not care whether it would fare better under a different moon’s night
It only cared whether it would fare better under this moon’s next night
For A Foreign Crown
My eyes fall forward
My mind flees back
Felling its
Unclears
Falling back,
unto rejuvenated Fears.
My eyes fall forward
My mind flees back
Ready to rush
into battle,
clad in browned silver!
Grunting gales
Slurring neighs and brays
Songs of clattering armor
Floating about the Stage
But arrows of men waiver
Unable to secure even vapor
My eyes fell forward
My feet fall back
Bright lights unto chattering remains
Upend this curtain drop with an unexpected claim!
My silence, unable to obtain–
My eyes, still unready for
Their eye’s reign.
Parasomnia
Stuttering greets melancholy
In their whispers beyond the night.
Rosin thoughts chopped blindly
By the slow creeping of the light.
A songbird’s soliloquy
Speaks of joy and delight
But how could it steal me from that
Cold, Dark, Unremembered
Night?
I’ve been thinking
I’ve gone thinking again
I guess we all have, too
I mean, there’s nothing to do
Nothin’ but thinkin’
Thinkin’ bout’ you.
in our,
Broken blocks
next to
Ignored clocks.
These days
the bullets are flying
These days
My friends say they’re dying
What are we to say?
What are we to do?
Other than, we are
Thinking ’bout you–
These days go as far as tar
and our livers are wishing they’d reopen a bar
We filled our stomachs. Stuffed ’em on greed
and our eyes can’t see nothin’.
Only the rapture and weed
What will be left?
What are we to do?
We always seem to get stuck
Thinking ’bout you–
