INTRO
Weekly work will cover three main areas described below.
1. Model–Viewing Anime: due by Tues class (Thursday on first week)
You will be viewing video/anime from this schedule weekly—sometimes we have direct URLs, sometimes this requires a Netflix or Amazon Prime Video account–so make sure you have one, or a way to ‘borrow’ one, occasionally. See Fumiko’s Confession, a 2:22 anime! Here is Fumiko’s Confession Reversed–HA!
2. Story Technique–Readings/Quizzes: due by Tues class (Thursday on first week)
You will also be taking weekly quizzes mainly based on reading from Anatomy of Story, so please make sure you prepare for quizzes and for class. Late assignments not be accepted without medical reason, and not being prepared really degrades the quality of the class for your peers.
Do your best to keep up!
3. Story Practice: due by Sunday 5 pm
You need to come up with your own story!! You will be doing weekly story exercises–Tasks–in order to slowly build up your story based on the techniques we view, read about, discuss, and share each class. Over time your story may shift, change, and morph–this is common to story development. By the end of the semester, these practices should add up to a full interactive story.
