This is for my own story.

  1. Story Symbol
Is there a central symbol that unites the whole story?  How does it work?

The central symbol that unites the whole story is the quest to save himself and his family. Our MC has always dreamed of saving his family from poverty, and then saving his sick mother. He was so determined to accomplish this goal that he forgot all else. It ends up bringing him down a bad path.

    2. Symbolic Characters
What kinds of characters populate the story? Does their age, gender, race, abilities, background, skills give them a symbolic role?  Do they carry, use or appear near symbols that define them?

There aren’t may characters in the story besides the main people. They are all mostly different as well. I think if any characters have a symbol that define them it would be Tommy, The Boss, and Tommy’s mother. They are all driven by something and push forward to accomplish that goal. Tommy wants to save his family, The Boss will do anything to get his money back, and the mother will do anything to save her son. All of these traits lead the characters to make certain decisions.

    3.Symbolic Theme
What is your story’s main moral message about what kinds of actions are good vs evil? Are there any symbols used to describe or define the theme?

I think if there is one moral message within the story it is all about compassion. All the characters in the story are compassionate about something, and it leads them to make specific decisions. Some are good, but most seem to be bad. I think some symbols that define the theme are hatred, greed, and compassion. All the characters display a little bit of all these traits and it really drives the story.

    4.Symbolic Worlds
What kind of story world(s) exist in your story and do the worlds define their inhabitants in any symbolic way? eg erathdwellers are emphatic, and sky dwellers are aloof.

The story takes place in a not so good area of a city called Shostack. This is the place our MC grew up and it defines him and his traits a ton. Growing up him and his family had nothing, so it always led him to try to change their lives and get them out of this situation.

   5.Symbolic Objects
Are there symbolic objects that carry meaning(s) in your story. Examples include the Ring in Lord of Rings, The Wand in Harry Potter, the Grail in King Arthur stories. Even small objects can have pervasive meaning, like the Red thread/bracelet in Your Name.

Money is the number one symbolic object in the story. This object is what leads the whole story to its end. From the very beginning I wanted to make it apparent how important it truly was and influences the story.
