inside of him, similar to a gear turning.

(2) After visiting Tomathy’s story, Dream remembers being referred to as a “manipulative villain,” despite having no recollection of what actually took place.

(3) Among the story worlds that Dream has joined, he finds himself in a friendly rivalry with a guy named Teto.

(4) For unknown reasons, Dream can recall his conversations with Teto and Teto only, this sprouts doubt and fear in Dream about their ‘friendship’ in the future.

(5) Dream later learns that the reason he was called a ‘villain’ in Tomathy’s story world is that he has helped a traitor whose goal was to ruin Tomathy’s life.

(6) Since Dream’s only source of information is Teto, Dream grows suspicious of him and decides to ask The Creator directly.

(7) The Creator agrees to meet with Dream and listens to his concerns, but he refuses to give a clear explanation of what this Imaginary Realm actually is.

(8) Unsatisfied with The Creator’s reaction, Dream insists on an answer even if he knows he shouldn’t have.

(9) With a pained expression, The Creator forces Dream back into his world.

(10) After his meeting with The Creator, Dream’s amnesia gets remarkably worse and worse.

(11) During his usual visit with Teto, in a brief moment, Dream’s memory of Teto is wiped clean.

(12) Eventually, Dream finds Teto’s records of every time Dream visits him.

(13) The discovery of the book only deepens the misunderstanding between Teto and Dream, who now thinks that Teto is spying on him with ulterior motives.

(14) After his meeting with Teto, Dream hears the ‘clicks’ considerably more often, this leads to his memory takes a turn for the worse.

(15) Sensing that Dream’s memory is on the brink of complete shattering, The Creator summoned him once again.

(16) During their second meeting, The Creator concludes that Dream is now too ‘broken’ to do the job and will be replaced promptly.

(17) As per Dream’s dying wish, The Creator agrees to tell him the truth about the Imaginary Realm and why Dream was created in the first place.

(18) Dream hears his final ‘click,’ this one different than usual, before falling unconscious and being replaced by an identical vessel.

(19) The new Dream wakes up, seemingly indifferent and voided of any recollection of his prior meeting with The Creator.

(20) Dream’s previous memories only begin to return when he meets again with Teto.

(21) With the knowledge he obtained from The Creator, he asks for Teto’s help and plans to overthrow The Creator, as he believes that doing so will set everyone free.

(22) Dream, Teto, and other residents proceed with the plan, only to be revealed the reason why this Realm exists: to fulfill the wishes of the unfortunate souls who are dying in real life.

(23) Dream is presented with two choices: 1) kill The Creator and forever deletes the Imaginary Realm or 2) be replaced anew and stay a side character in others’ pursuit of happiness.

(24) After much consideration, Dream chooses the latter.

(25) Teto and others, however, stand against this decision, saying that Dream’s wish is just as precious and worthy as theirs.

(26) As a desperate attempt to stop Dream, Teto wishes to sacrifice his story for Dream.

(27) True to his purpose to fulfill wishes, Dream hears another ‘click’ and takes Teto’s final life, resulting in Teto’s death in real life.

(28) Now horrified of himself, Dream asks The Creator to reverse what happened to Teto in exchange for Dream’s unconditional loyalty until the end of time.

(29) The Creator, having witnessed everything, calmly says that it is impossible, as Dream’s wish has finally been fulfilled.

(30) Dream realizes that from the moment he knows about the ‘click,’ his story has already started; this moment is just the end of it.

(31) Since Dream’s wish is fulfilled, he can no longer stay inside the Imaginary Realm, this means he breathes his final breath in real life.

(32) Dream and Teto are later seen reincarnated in another life as friends, with their friendship full of rivalry but neither of them remembers having died before.

(33) The Creator is seen whispering the purpose to someone else, similar to how he did to Dream at the very beginning of his creation.

1. WEAKNESS & NEED

Psychological and Moral Self-Revelation

(1) Psychological

– Every dream can be fulfilled, what matters is the bravery to realize its importance and will to see it to the end.

(2) Moral Self-Revelation:

– You are not all what others label you, only through your own self-discovery can you learn about who you really are.

Psychological and Moral Weakness and Need

(1) Psychological weakness/need:

– Dream doesn’t love himself; therefore, he is seen very often wrecking his own mental health without hesitation.

(2) Moral weakness/need:

– Dream’s stance on morality is affected by others rather than by his own inhibition.

Problem

Dream notices there is something wrong with him but keeps his distance and refuses to ask for help from anyone who genuinely cares about him.

2. DESIRE

Dream wants to be the protagonist of his own story world, to experience the pursuit of true happiness instead of watching others achieving it from the sideline.

3. OPPONENT

The Creator wants the residents of the Imaginary Realm to be the dream protagonist of their dream worlds, fulfilling their dying wishes before they take their last breaths in real life. In order to achieve this, the residents need a character that can take on the opposing roles in their stories; hence the need for Dream – the Protector of Wishes.

4. PLAN

Confront The Creator and overthrow him to set everyone free from the Imaginary Realm. Teto is in charge of informing the other residents and Dream is the leader. Together, they believe that showing The Creator that they already know about the truth would shake his will; this will be the perfect opportunity to strike him down using the gears (armors, weapons,…) provided by Dream and Teto. This plan begins before Dream knows about why the Realm exists.

5. BATTLE

Dream has to choose between sacrificing others’ dreams for the fulfillment of his own or staying ignorant of his dream for the sake of others.

6. SELF-REVELATION

His dream is just as precious as everyone else’s and deserving of fulfillment; Dream also realizes that there are people who care about him and he could afford to trust in them when in need.

7. NEW EQUILIBRIUM

The Imaginary Realm exists as it has before, except for the lack of a permanent Protector like before. The Protector now has the option to choose to resign and fulfill their own wish anytime they see fit. Additionally, they are also informed about the reality of the Realm beforehand and given the chance to accept the position as The Protector.

AS YOU WISH PREP: STORY EVENTS (1) Dream notices that whenever he joins someone’s story world, he hears/feels a ‘click’ inside of him, similar to a gear turning.
