{"id":6323,"date":"2021-09-27T16:50:04","date_gmt":"2021-09-27T20:50:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jolineblais.net\/nmd343\/?p=6323"},"modified":"2021-12-14T12:47:09","modified_gmt":"2021-12-14T17:47:09","slug":"task-4-nate-r","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jolineblais.net\/nmd343\/task-4-nate-r\/","title":{"rendered":"Task 4 &#8211; Nate R"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>CHARACTER FUNCTIONS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Protagonist &#8211; Vincent<\/li>\n<li>Opponent &#8211; Father<\/li>\n<li>Ally &#8211; Mother, she sees the situation but she has to choose a side.\u00a0 She sees evil in her husband and hope for her son.\u00a0 She wants the best for her son but also can&#8217;t leave her husband.<\/li>\n<li>Fake-AllyOpponent &#8211; Uncle, being the brother of the leader one would think that he would get along pretty well with one another.\u00a0 But they end up butting heads so much that the Uncle of Vincent wants to become the leader himself.<\/li>\n<li>Fake-Opponent Ally &#8211; Family Friend #1, this family friend appears to push Vincent to listen to his father and follow along with his lifestyle.<\/li>\n<li>Subplot Character &#8211; None<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>CHARACTER ARCHETYPES<\/h3>\n<p>Which of these archetypes defines your protagonist? \u00a0How &amp; why?<\/p>\n<p>The archetype that defines the protagonist is the Rebel archetype.\u00a0 His entire goal is rebel against his own family, mostly his father.\u00a0 But his ambitions are the exact opposite of what his family had in mind.\u00a0 He must do whatever it takes to rebel and find his own path.<\/p>\n<p>Which other archetypes match the other characters in your story? For each key character archetype used in your story, describe 1-2\u00a0<strong>actions<\/strong>\u00a0these characters will take that will challenge the protagonist and push them to change\/grow. Use characters to challenge each other and spur action.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>King\/Father &#8211; Vincent&#8217;s father, takes control over Vincent. Has the most power out of anyone there due to his physical size and manipulation skills<\/li>\n<li>Queen\/Mother &#8211; Vincent&#8217;s mother, there will be times when Vincent is overwhelmed and stress about his father.\u00a0 His mother will be there for him when he feels anger and rage towards his father.\u00a0 She is the middle ground between the two.\u00a0 She is the reason they didn&#8217;t kill each other off the bat.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor\/Teacher\/Wizard &#8211; Uncle, he becomes the father figure for Vincent since his real father is going ballistic.<\/li>\n<li>Warrior<\/li>\n<li>Trickster\/Clown &#8211; Family Friend #2, in this story there needs to be some humor.\u00a0 But also some serious humor.\u00a0 With this character no one ever really understands him.\u00a0 He&#8217;s a friend of Vincents father and they&#8217;ve been rolling together since they were kids.\u00a0 This character adds some mental diversity to the group.<\/li>\n<li>Artist<\/li>\n<li>Lover<\/li>\n<li>Rebel &#8211; Vincent<\/li>\n<li>Other?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>ARCHETYPE DESCRIPTION<\/h3>\n<p>Describe at least 3 ways your protagonist fits the archetype. Then describe at least 3 ways s\/he\/they deviates from the archetypes and so has some individuality.<\/p>\n<p>Protagonist:<\/p>\n<p>Fits-<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>He rebels against his father.<\/li>\n<li>He wants to do something completely differently than everyone he knows.<\/li>\n<li>There are several things from preventing him being a rebel but he does whatever it takes to get out.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Deviates-<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>He doesn&#8217;t really want to leave his family.<\/li>\n<li>Deep down he loves his father and doesn&#8217;t want to have to kill him.<\/li>\n<li>His mother tries to keep in a part of the group.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Antagonist:<\/p>\n<p>Fits-<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>He is physically intimidating.<\/li>\n<li>He takes responsibility for everything. If it weren&#8217;t for him, the group would be a mess.<\/li>\n<li>Everyone follows his directions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Deviates-<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>He gets soft when he hears his son wants to leave.<\/li>\n<li>His brother takes over the father role at some points.<\/li>\n<li>The group starts to fall apart and he doesn&#8217;t know what to do.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>How &amp; Why is this important to your story? \u00a0ie both the fit and the deviations?
