David Lavoie, a 21-year-old Bangor born and raised junior at the University of Maine is pursuing two majors, New Media Design and Marketing. His favorite food, pizza, fuels his passions – video game playing, software development, and media consumption. A winner of the 2019 competition Hackathon, David has shown he has the skills and mindfulness for a dream career in app development.
Cognizant of conditions that characterize contemporary life in Maine, David is concerned with how the road salts used to melt the ice during winter have a negative effect on wildlife. “Our biggest value in Maine is to treat the wildlife as they deserve to be, wild.”
