Write about a service animal in your world: what do they help with? How difficult are they to train?
By the age of 18, one must tame a Dormagin.
Dormagin’s are ancient creatures that existed at the creation of the universe. These creatures are wild and hard to tame. When humans first existed, many of them were killed by these beasts, until a chief from a nearby tribe was able to tame one. To do so, one must be noble and courageous enough to form a bond with one. The chief was great, and showed powerful trust in the creature, and therefore it back.
5,000 years later, these creatures evolve. With similar traits to the modern world’s ideals of a dragon, mixed with a tiger and there aquatic abilities of an axelot. These creatures are adorable but are packed with fury. Even 5,000 years later these creatures are hard to be tamed, therefore it’s left up to the warriors.
Our world is crumbling as we speak. Our kingdom originated from the first tribe to tame a Dormagin, and therefore, we have a special connection with them. Kingdoms all around are falling everyday, but ours stay strong, thanks to our warriors. Our warriors are trained from the very day they can walk. They are chosen by our King, Sir Carlisle Hawthorn. When a baby is born, he decides whether the child will be fit for combat, or combat sport. Those are the two roles of our society.
Warriors are trained until the age of 16, whereas they complete the challenges to fully become a true warrior. There are several tasks that determine this: strength, whit, agility, intelligence, and lastly, the ability to tame a Dormagin for themselves. If a warrior cannot tame a Dormagin, they are banished to warrior support, where they are shamed for failing the powerfulness of warriors. If successful, the warrior becomes even more powerful, as it embodies a Dormagin with it. These Dormagin’s help with combat, and the bond between human and Dormagin is the most powerful.
