Title of Game: “Freeing the Guardians”

Game Summary: You as the player are a small child, maybe around ten or eleven. You live in a world where mankind is enslaved by beings of the Xeoxedalar (Underworld), who deemed mankind unworthy to rule itself and own the Etomos. (Earth). The people of Niawiacion are warriors/guardians charged with the protection of mankind, their freedom, and their world, Etomos. However, thousands of years before your birth, the armies of Xeoxedalar attacked Etomos and Niawaicion forcing the guardian warriors who once protected mankind to fall back into safe houses where they wait in stasis to be awoken when it’s time for mankind to be free once more. This is where the game starts, the player’s purpose and the challenge is to overcome the obstacles and opponents in their way to free the guardians and their own world.

Game Purpose: This game is an extension of a trilogy I’m writing and it’s meant for entertainment purposes for the player. Just like a book this game is meant to help people escape their own world for a little while and be the hero of the story.

Page 7 Questions:

    • This game is an extension of a trilogy I’m writing and it’s meant for entertainment purposes for the player. Just like a book this game is meant to help people escape their own world for a little while and be the hero of the story.
  • What makes this game different from competing games?
    • This game is different because it’s based on a trilogy that I’ve been working on for many years now.
  • What is the story setting?
    • In a different world, which has a medieval fantasy feeling. It takes place after a large battle on  Niawiacion, so it has a post-apocalyptic feeling as well.
  • What/Who will the player control?
    • The player will control the child, the chosen one in the story
  • What is the main objective?
    • The main goal or objective is to free the guardian warriors who are charged with protecting mankind and their world, Etomos.
  • Singleplayer?
    • this is a single-player game, where the one player interacts with the world and characters of the game.
  • Multiplayer?
    • No multiplayer
  • Are you planning on DLC?
    • FOr downloadable content, I think it would be cool to have concept images of the world, the temple, and the character themselves for the players to have.
  • How many hours of gameplay do you anticipate?
    • Realistically I’m thinking this is going to be a small game based on how. much time we have for the semester. So I’ve thought maybe an hour or less of game play. I’d love to expand it someday and make it possible for the player to explore more of Niawiacion, and of the guardian culture, and religion.
  • What are your game’s victory conditions?
    • In order to win, the player must overcome all the obstacles of the game, including choosing different paths, how to react to attackers, and perhaps even riddles. You win once the guardians are freed.
