Write about an organization that is terrorizing a town in your world<\/p>https:\/\/www.worldanvil.com\/worldbuilding-prompts<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

From the time I was little, I was never allowed to see the time of day when the sun hides. Mom says it’s not safe when the sun can’t see us. Instead, I peek out the window when mom isn’t looking, all the bots rolling down the street. Today, I saw an interaction between a bot and another person like me. The bot started to shake as the mom look-alike started to run away. I must have blinked because then the next time I see the look-alike she was asleep on the ground. Mom sees me peeking and pulls me away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mom sits me down and begins to explain why she was using her outside voice inside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We share this world honey, humans, like us have all day to go outside and do whatever we want. But once those street lights come on, it’s the bot’s turn. If they catch someone outside when it’s their turn, they get really upset… like you saw tonight.” Mom’s eye won’t look at me, so I don’t look at her either. “Do you understand?” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Not really, I learned to share last year, why can’t they learn? I want to see night.” Mom’s eyes finally meet mine as she grabs my hands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is how it’s always been. You know how some animals are nocturnal?” I nod my head, “Well so are the bots, and they don’t like to be social like you and me.” I’m a bit disappointed that the bot’s get nighttime, but mom said they actually are jealous of our daytime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Then why don’t we switch?” I ask mom, she sighs really big then says, “Because everyone’s schedule is already made for daytime. Anyways, I think that’s enough questions for tonight, how about we read a bedtime story?” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
