1. PROJECT: ‘DocuTape’

A combination of the creative process of creating a mix tape as the eyes of a documentary film maker.

2. KEY VALUES (YOURS, AND THOSE OF PROJECT):

We want the community to have an enhanced curriculum surrounding the process of audio production.

3. MEASURE OF SUCCESS:

  1. EMOTIONAL: Have the feeling of the track being played, whether its a beach vibe, all the way to a dark hardcore vibe.
  2. ATTENTION: Maintain the attention of the listener while keeping their interest and feeling of the music as well.
  3. SENSEMAKING: Make the project ‘easy’ for people not to get too intellectually challenge and able o follow along.
  4. DECISIONMAKING: Serve intent over preference allowing the user to create their own path.
  5. SOCIAL REASONING: Stronger connection between artists producers and filmmakers.
  6. GROUP DYNAMICS: Very cooperative and influential for others.

NOW DEVELOP AN ACTION STATEMENT FOR HUMANE TECHNOLOGY USING YOUR EVALUATION ABOVE AND PRIORITIZATION FROM THE PREVIOUS SHEET.

  1. IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR PROJECT CURRENTLY ENGAGE HUMAN SENSITIVITIES?

    • Which specific elements might warrant redesign?

If the design of the product is too hard to understand or follow heavy redesigns will be established.

    • Are the success criteria in tension with any sensitivities?

As of this moment no sensitivities are causing tension.

  • HOW MIGHT YOUR PROJECT SUPPORT OR ELEVATE HUMAN SENSITIVITIES?

    • Where are humans naturally brilliant at manifesting the value proposition?

The DocuTape would be able to push people to focus on music production and collaborations.

    • How might a design element change to better support that brilliance?

Might have to really focus on the teaching aspect of the documentary.

    • With social sensitivities, could the design encourage people to meet the goal in real life? Consider the “Natural Anti-depressants” in Johan Hari’s Lost Connections, for example.

Yes I believe that the design could encourage people to follow a similar goal, because music is apart of our culture and being able to create one’s own music is a really rewarding process.

    • Do any success criteria need to shift to support human sensitivities?

Emphasis on the fact that this might not be a career for everyone.

  • ACTION STATEMENT

    • What is one thing you want to learn more about?

I would personally, like to learn more about the music industry as a whole.

    • What would you like to discuss with your team?

I would like to converse with my team about the interview process, and getting a logical flow throughout the documentary.

    • What would you like to design or prototype?

We have a prototype

    • Are there any new design principles you might employ?

We will employ a new design principle that could possible be an interactive documentary to learn about what the user wants
