Cam Bilodeau and I want to create what we call a ‘DocuTape.’ This is a mix tape combined with a documentary. The video aspect will include myself and Austin as we go through creating beats, finding sounds, and discovering/producing new music. To help the community we will be describing ways to get into music production and other ways in which to start with minimal money. Effort must be put forth for those who want to get into music production, along with what to look for, listen for, and basic music theory. If this idea doesn’t work, my backup idea is to create a twitter like social media application, that will connect musicians, producers, mixers, and DJs alike. This application will assist these artists to find and collaborate with others of similar interests in music.
