PREP:  STORY EVENTS

My prep story events are all written on this Google Doc

1. WEAKNESS & NEED

Psychological and Moral Self-Revelation

Ilyas comes to terms that he will never be the same person he was, and that the person he is will not be welcomed wherever he goes.  He comes to realize he doesn’t know anything about himself, and wants to grow without influence of societal influence, but with the people he has come to call friends occasionally at his side.  He starts living on his own not only because of this, but to learn how to take care of himself so that he may better help others.

Psychological and Moral Weakness and Need

Ilyas’ psychological weakness is his lack of memory, he is not sure of who he is or where he comes from, and he feels he needs to figure out who he was, but isn’t sure how.  Ilyas’ moral weakness is his lack of emotion.  He doesn’t express himself as most people do, and it makes people feel like he is apathetic or uncaring despite being the complete opposite.  He is difficult to warm up to and bottles up emotions until they spill over uncontrolled.

Ilyas, (even if he doesn’t know it in the beginning of the story) also possesses an ability to take and give heat away from people.  His body creates heat very slowly, and he could die if he doesn’t take warmth from elsewhere.  After learning of it he grows scared of it’s danger, and struggles to keep himself alive.

Problem

Ilyas doesn’t know who he is, or what he can do and struggles with getting people to trust him.  He is unaware of the world and has to rely on others or his instincts to be of help.

2. DESIRE

Ilyas is a character who does what he feels is required of him, a residual effect on how he was treated in his old outside community.  He feels desire-less but strides to keep people safe, while he wishes he knew of who he was and his place in the world, it doesn’t drive him forward when other problems begin to outweigh his personal ones.  His desire goes from figuring out who he is -> to nothing -> to keeping those he grew to care for safe despite himself.

3. OPPONENT

Petra is an opponent to life as it is at this moment.  She wishes for something she considers greater, and wants to mold the world into that image.  Petra has previous ties with Einar, and knows a great amount about bunker comminutes, outside communities and has her own bastardized version of Rime culture.

4. PLAN

A lot of my plan is interwoven in the story events, but here is a general list of plans that had been spoken about by the characters/ implied.

• Fix faulty communication lines, and survive the harsh environment
• Figure out why the environment suddenly changed, and help people adapt if possible
  • Complete previous mission
  • Talk to Rimes who may have insight about what’s going on
• Keep everyone alive
• Stop Petra from continuing her takeover

5. BATTLE

6. SELF -REVELATION

7. NEW EQUILIBRIUM

The bunker that has previously been taken over start to rebuild.  Bunker communities and outside communities become more aware of each other, and start to collaborate and live together if wished.  Rimes keep themselves separate, but are becoming more than a fairy tale thanks to outside community stories, and the survivors of the taken bunker.

Ilyas decides to leave the bunker and outside community to wander.  Ilyas visits both communities often, and is welcomed into the bunker community to stay if ever needed, he also offers to help other bunkers whenever needed.  Dean becomes a Runner after she finishes her education, though helped often due to the smaller Runner population.  Einar is promoted to a higher position, and becomes an advisor for Runner and other outside issues to the leaders of his home bunker.  Qwin is offered refuge in Dean’s and Einar’s home bunker after the situation is explained by Einar.  Though Qwin took to staying by Ilyas’ side whenever possible, and whenever Ilyas would let him.  Kymil keeps Ilyas and Qwin company most of the time, but also goes off to help people and other Rimes who might need it.    Ava goes back to her outside community, though visits Ilyas often.   She sticks to the outside communities, and has taken up responsibilities to protect them, though helps with bunker community issues if it benefits both communities.
